Event
Discussion on the Potential of AI in the Public Sector
Location
Kathmandu, Nepal

I was honored to engage with senior government officials from the Ministry of Finance and various other ministries to discuss the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within Nepal’s public sector.

Our discussion focused on moving beyond the conceptual stage to the practical application of AI in government workflows. We explored how AI can serve as a catalyst for institutional efficiency—streamlining complex processes, enhancing public service delivery, and enabling more precise, data-backed policy decisions. Central to our conversation was the recently approved National Artificial Intelligence Policy, which provides the necessary framework for integrating these tools responsibly and ethically across all government sectors.

Engaging with such a group of leaders was truly rewarding. I am grateful to the Ministry of Finance for hosting this forward-thinking dialogue.
