In-service Training for Tax and Customs Officers

On 7 August 2025, I had the privilege of leading a session on Risk Management in Customs with 20 officers from the Customs and Tax Authority during their in-service training at the Public Finance Management Training Center.
The session covered:
- Risk Management in Customs
- Global trends in Customs risk management
- WCO initiatives and tools for effective targeting
- Best practices in balancing facilitation and enforcement
It was an enriching experience to exchange ideas with participants and discuss practical approaches to enhancing compliance, mitigating risks, and fostering trade facilitation. The enthusiasm and engagement of the officers made the discussion truly rewarding.
